Got questions?

Payment and health fund questions

What does "preferred provider" mean?

Dilleen Dental has preferred-provider arrangements with Bupa, Medibank, HCF, nib and Westfund. If you are an eligible member of one of these funds, you may pay less out of pocket, depending on your level of cover. Your exact rebate is set by your fund and your policy.

My health fund is not on the list. Can I still claim?

Yes. We welcome members of all health funds. You can claim eligible treatment on the spot with HICAPS at the practice. Your rebate will depend on your fund and level of cover.

How do I know what my gap will be?

Before treatment begins, we give you a treatment estimate. You can use it to check with your health fund exactly what they will cover and what your out-of-pocket gap will be.

Are you a no-gap dentist for nib members?

We are a preferred nib provider, but not a no-gap clinic. A gap may apply depending on your cover, limits and treatment. Please check with nib if you are unsure.

What payment options do you offer?

We accept EFTPOS and Visa, and offer HICAPS claiming at the practice. Afterpay, humm and Super for Health are also available. Ask our team which option suits your treatment.

Do you bulk bill children under CDBS?

Yes. Eligible children may access bulk-billed basic dental services under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule, up to a capped amount set by Services Australia. See our children’s dentistry page for details.

Can Veterans' Affairs (DVA) cardholders be treated?

Yes. Eligible DVA cardholders may access clinically necessary dental services. Treatment limits or co-payments may apply.

Not sure what your cover includes?

Call our team with your health fund details and we’ll help you work out what your visit may cost. Open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
